BTR, Taylor Lautner, and Tons More Faves Win KCAs!
It was a blimped-out night for the KCA winners that YOU picked! Big Time Rush was your Favourite Music Group, Adam Sandler was your Favourite Movie Actor, and Kristen Stewart was your Favourite Movie Actress. Plus, 'Victorious' was victorious over the other Favourite TV Show nominees, Taylor Lautner kicked butt in the Favourite Buttkicker category, and couple Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber bagged a couple of blimps: Favourite TV Actress and Favourite Male Singer. (Selena won Favourite Female Singer, too.) See all of the winners here!
It Was the Slimiest KCA Ever!
Host Will Smith's mission was to make this year's KCA the slimiest EVER. And can we just say, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Halle Berry had barely sat down before she was slimed. WWE stars The Big Show and The Miz competed the first ever Slime Wrestling World Championship, with a slime-spraying wrestling ring and a giant slime pool. There was an exploding blimp that spewed slime on Chris Colfer. Poor Taylor Lautner had to do push-ups AND get slimed. And the show ended with an EPIC sliming of surprise celeb guest Justin Bieber! All this slimy action was thanks to you special agents finding slime on the KCA website for the Global Slime Collection. Give yourself a green gooey hand!
Katy Perry and One Direction ROCKED the KCA!
The 25th annual KCA wasn't just about blimps and slime, it was also about the music! Host Will Smith started the show with a song-and-dance medley...complete with slime-filled balloons dropping on the audience! Katy Perry performed 'Part of Me' before accepting her blimp for Favourite Voice in an Animated Movie. And the band that's taking the world by storm, One Direction, made their KCA debut with a performance of 'What Makes You Beautiful' that made us SCREAM!!!
Will Smith Ruled As KCA Host!
We already knew Will Smith was awesome--hello, count all the KCAs he's won! But we had no idea HOW awesome a host he would be! Parachuting down through the sky from the official KCA blimp to start the show? It doesn't get any wilder than that! Even with a Creepy Hater Voice out to get him (who turned out to be Cee-Lo Green), Will succeeded in making this the best KCA ever!
You Picked the UK Winners!
We promised you the BIGGEST, SLIMIEST Kids’ Choice Awards and we certainly delivered! This year we ALSO had more UK categories than ever before, which you voted for in your MILLIONS! And the results are… One Direction bag two blimps (greedy!) picking up the award for Best UK Newcomer and Best UK Band. ‘X Factor’, responsible for creating the super band, wins best UK TV show. Other musical winners are Olly Murs, winner of Favourite UK Male Artist, and Adele, who adds another trophy to her giant collection with the Blimp for Favourite UK Female Artist. Emma Watson and Robert Pattinson snapped up the prizes for Favourite UK Actress and Actor.
